Who we are

Our vision

We are leading architects of the user-centered future, where clarity, openness and imagination guide information technology in the service of humanity.

We’re a small firm in Seattle dedicated to creating a great place to work where great people can do great work.

We create content and Web experiences that are meticulously designed to get you the most from your information technology investments:

  1. Productivity
  2. Satisfaction
  3. Return on investment

Our values

Our actions spring from our values. At all times our employees can articulate—and take pride in—what they are doing and why.

Coherent  We are clear, concise, truthful, and judicious in our communications with clients, partners, employees, and others.

Imaginative  We value innovation and creativity. We know the world moves fast and we work constantly to absorb and act on new information. We know that while strategy and methodology are crucial, each situation presents at least one unique element we need to recognize and examine. We welcome fresh approaches to solving problems.

Empirical  We make decisions based on research and analysis.

Open  We encourage freedom of thought and expression, because we know the best people demand them and excellence depends on them. We are honest and transparent in our actions and communications inside our organization and with our clients and investors. We do not hide bad news. We foster information-sharing and we reward collaboration.

Focused  We base clear, measurable goals for projects on our clients’ business need. We are dedicated to excellent performance that honors the bounds of our clients’ environments and resources.

Through his career he’s been a writer, instructional designer, managing editor, interface designer, project manager, information architect, and staff manager. Jan Bultmann

Born to poor but honest teacher folk, Jan Bultmann produced her first content at age 3, a crayon-based opus on hard copy media entitled "The Little Car That Could." She's been tackling new formats and content types ever since, and loves nothing so much as learning and making it easy for others to learn as well.

Mark Iverson
Developer
Mark’s software career began in 1993 as a support technician for Aldus PageMaker and later moved to Visio where he was a software tester. In 1996 he received his C Certificate and in 1997 his C++ Certificate, both at the University of Washington. He was the only Visio tester to advance to software development. In 2003 he received two patents for innovation at Microsoft (Microsoft acquired Visio in 2000). In 2005 he joined MACROsystems as a web developer utilizing SQL, .NET, C#, AJAX, and other web technologies. Mark is passionate about music and volunteered at KCMU, a Seattle public radio station from 1988 through 1992.
